I'm taking a Creative Writing class this semester, and one of the requirements is to keep two journals, one that will be for a grade and another for personal use.  So, I'm going to try to update this thing daily as my personal writing journal for class.  :3

First off, I'm going to need some inspiration for things to write about, so once again I'm going to turn to my theme challenges.  I have a few, most of 'em are for art use but I'm going to be creative and use them as little writing exercises.  What I write will be posted here, which is a first for me, but if it's something I don't want everyone and their brother to see, I lock the entry containing said written piece for viewing by friends only.

In other news, I'm currently delving into the waters of Transformers Movieverse fandom.  I'm currently writing a short story that takes place after Revenge of the Fallen, and will be starting a full-fledged story (also taking place after ROTF) soon.  Here's an overview:

Summary: It’s a well-known fact that a single pulse from even a tiny sliver of the AllSpark is enough to cause nearby electronics to come to life as feral Transformers. But even the Autobots weren’t aware of what a SECOND pulse could do to one of those mutations. Now they find themselves in the company of a sentient and extremely hyper little AllSpark mutation named Sparky.  And, unfortunately for the Autobots, the little guy is attracting a lot of unwanted attention…

 

And before you question, "Transformers and Pokemon together? WTF?" Please bear in mind that I have a VERY different take on the Pokemon universe.  Basically my approach to Pokemon in my stories  is my interpretation of what the anime series would be like if it was geared towards the older Pokemon fanbase (older teens and young adults) rather than the small children the series actually focuses on.  So yes, my version of Pokemon is darker, more intense, and nowhere near as kid-friendly as the anime currently airing on Cartoon Network.  With that in mind, the two actually fit together pretty smoothly.

Anyway, Shift will be a long story.  Currently I have at least twenty-one chapters planned, along with a Prologue and Epilogue, though only a handful of the chapters have been name. This is what I have so far:

In regards to my PMD2 (that's Pokemon Mystery Dungeon-Explorers o' Time to YOU) comic, I have the layouts for the first two pages complete. The comic will be a black-and-white Doujin (with a color cover, of course!) that chronicles the adventures of Lizzie, a human girl-turned Chimchar and her Pokemon friend Piplup as they go on a quest to prevent time from stopping. The Comic will have a grand total of Twenty-Seven chapters once completed. I'll post links to it as soon as I have it up an running.

Next up is a list featuring examples of food in Dragons of Twilight. I created this "menu" in church today to prevent myself from falling asleep. All of the food mentioned here is (with the exception of the Reekfish Soup) an actual dish. Most have been renamed, however.

-Toasted Loaves with Fruit Preserves: Bread loaves fire toasted with various fruit preserves (apple, strawberry, blackberry, etc.) spread on top.
-Chimchan: Mashed beans, served with melted cheese and a spicy sauce
-Reekfish Soup: A rich soup with Reekfish, cheese, pumpkin, and other ingredients. Yeto's specialty.
-Ginger Beer: A sweet drink flavored with butterscotch syrup. Similar to Butterbeer.
-Bread and Cheese Fondue: Exactly what it sounds like. Bread dipped in melted cheese.
-Shrimp and Watercress Soup: Soup with small shrimp, watercress, and other vegetables in it. Very Spicy!
-Roasted Cucoo with Mushrooms: A roasted chicken (cucoo) cooked with mushrooms of varying types.
-Kompeito: A sugary, star-shaped candy in different colors. Suikin is very found of it.
-Fruit syrup: Various fruit syrups. When mixed with water, makes a light fruit drink that is well-suited for traveling.

Well, I finally finished the trailer for Dragons of Twilight. This is more of a teaser than anything else, so here it is. Enjoy.


I give credit where it is due. Videos were from The Hylia and Twilight Princess.org. The music is from the Happy Feet OST, Track 13, The Story of Mumble Happy Feet. I took the most intense part of the song and used it, because it fit in really well with the clips I chose and what I wanted to show.

For this particular part of the series, Eragon was an inspiration for it. But other books inspired it too, like The Lord of the Rings trilogy and books from the Redwall series.

I was very careful on what clips I used, trying to focus on the characters that helped Link in some way (Epona, Midna, etc). For some reason, I like the idea of Link traveling and sharing his adventures with a big group of friends who fight alongside him, instead of waiting on the sidelines; which is the main theme of the series, Link has companions who travel with him to help save Hyrule.
